A-Level Results Day 2021

Posted by priya shah on

It has been a transformative year for Students around the UK this year, especially for those completing their A-Levels. No matter what the outcome is, you’ve worked hard, and the team here at noah wants to congratulate you! 💫🥳

We have some advice to guide you through the First Steps of your new journey, whatever it may be so let’s get into it! First things first, congratulate yourself and take the time to enjoy this moment before jumping into the next.

Don’t feel as though you need to follow your peers, everyone’s educational journey is different. Whether you're moving into further education or employment, take the time you need to consider and plan your next steps, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Remind yourself, you don’t have to be a master of one thing your whole life and/ or career. Try different subjects that you’re interested in or curious about, you never know what might spark your true passion/s.
- Chadd

Don’t be afraid to forge your own path and discover new things about yourself along the way - things very rarely work out how we expect them to, but that’s just the fun of it!
- Cristina

If you’re heading to uni this autumn, get stuck in - there are a million sports clubs and societies to sign up for, even if it's just a taster session you'll get to meet some new people and maybe take up a new skill - Harvey, Amateur Trampoline Judge

Get out of your comfort zone (safely). You never know who you might meet or what undiscovered talent you might have!
- Simon

Oh the pressure of results day! I remember it felt like this one day would determine the rest of my life. Since then I've realised it was just the start - it is me who would determine the rest of my life, not a set of results.
- Sarah

Pick up the phone and call the universities you are interested in. Ask lots of questions – there is no such thing as a stupid question. Also, don’t just take the first opportunity that comes along, make sure it’s the right one for you. Write down the questions you want to ask before you call and if it’s a university you haven’t visited you may want to find out about the facilities, accommodation, and student support. This is your opportunity to discover what is best for you, and don't hang up the phone until your questions are being answered. Good luck and best to you!
- Val

It’s important to remember that there is still some uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 for students, be sure to check out your chosen universities new policies, as well as your accommodation to help make your transition as smooth as possible.

You're stepping into a new, exciting chapter of your life - Enjoy!
