Jesmonite is an absolute must-try for anyone with a creative eye, and even for those who just want to get a little playful. It’s all about those colours baby, so perfecting that colour palette is where it’s at. 
This is your guide on how to achieve nearly any colour possible – from bold brights to minimalist shades for days. You can let your imagination run riot with Jesmonite, especially if you’re mixing up techniques from making a Terrazzo Chips piece to a Marbled effect piece or even a simple Monochrome.

FYI: These measurements are all approx. It’s always worth having a little experiment & seeing what colours you’re vibing with.
Must-try chip & shades to try for your mould :
We have categorised our fave colour & chip combinations for the following moulds. Don’t feel limited to stick to those combinations as any of the below will work perfectly well for any of the moulds! 
Round Coaster
Go bright with a peachy base adorned with dark blue and white chips 🍑
  • Peach: 1 drop of Yellow - 1 drop of White - 0.5 drop of Red
  • Dark Blue: 3 drops of Blue 
  • White: 2 drops of White
OR
Keep it neutral with a chic mint base paired with grey and terracotta chips
  • Mint: 2 drops of Green - 1 drop of White
  • Grey: 0.5 drop of Black
  • Terracotta: 2 drops of Red Oxide

Hexagon Coaster

A subtle cream base with candy like drops of pink and yellow
  • Cream: 0.5 drop of Yellow - 1 drop of White Pink - 0.5 drop of Red
  • Yellow: 2 drops of Yellow
OR
Bring the outside in with a brick red base and earthy greens
  • Brick Red: 3 drops of Red Oxide
  • Forest Green: 2 drops of Green - 0.5 drop of Red Oxide - 0.5 drop of Black
  • White: 2 drops of White
Oval Tray
Think 90s: A pale pink base embellished with red, hot pink and white chips
  • Pale Pink: 1 drop of Red
  • Red: 3 drops of Red - 0.5 drop of Yellow
  • Hot Pink: 3 drops of Red
  • White: 2 drops of White
OR
A black base for the ages with sage green and white chips 
  • Black: 4 drops of Black
  • Sage Green: 0.5 Red Oxide - 1 drop of Green 
  • White: 2 drops of White
Tea light Holders
Pastel daze with a lilac base with pale yellow and white chips
  • Lilac: 1 drop of Blue - 1 drop of Red - 1 drop of White
  • Pale Yellow: 0.5 drop of Yellow
  • White: 2 drops of White
OR
Go with the classic duo and opt for a white base with black chips 
  • White: 2 drops of White
  • Black: 3 drops of Black 
Must try Marble combinations for your moulds
Marbling is a tasteful technique that works perfectly for both the Shell & Facepot moulds.You don’t need to do much sanding on these shells so you keep that sleek look. PS. This technique and the following combinations can also be used across all other moulds!
Shell or Face Mould Peachy pinks
  • Pink: 1 drop of Red
  • Peach Orange: 1 drop of Red - 0.5 drop of Yellow
Rose galore
  • Pale Cream: 0.5 drop of Yellow
  • Red: 3 drops of Red - 1 drop of Red
Deep emerald drops
  • Emerald Green: 1 drop of Green 
  • Deep Cream: 0.5 drop of Red Oxide - 2 drops of White
Moody red
  • Brick Red: 3 drops of Red Oxide 
  • Slate Grey: 2 drops of Black
