• What if I don’t know my arrival date yet?

  Not a problem! We have a feature at checkout where you can select ‘I don’t know my arrival date yet’ and we will hold off on delivery until you tell us your arrival and delivery date. 

  Also, we will send you reminder emails every week so you don’t forget to update us with your arrival date.

  Alternatively, you can always get the Kit delivered to your home address and take it to Uni via car. This is often the easiest option as it allows you just follow your own time schedule on such an important day 🙌

• What should I take to University?

  You’ll want to take all of your living essentials to make Uni life feel as comfy as being at home (unfortunately you do have to do your own laundry). Uni halls won’t provide you with much so make sure you’ve got everything you need.
  
  Needed for surviving:
  • Bed linen for your pillows, duvet and mattress
  • Your own pillows and duvet (plus some cosy blankets for chilly nights)
  • Towels (hand towels and bath towels)
  • Cooking items such as pots, pans, frying pan and trays for the oven
  • All utensils for cooking and for eating with
  • Plates, bowls, mugs and glasses
  • Coat hangers
  • Recipe book (or have a look at some of our Starving Student recipes)

  Optional: 
  • Mattress topper for extra comfort or Mattress Protector 
  • First Aid Kit 

  Other things you’ll want to take with you:
  • Study essentials such as notepads, pen, paper and sticky notes
  • A laptop you can work on
  • Additional storage boxes
  • Electronics such as TV, speakers, lamp and games console
  • Important documents you might need (ID card, Passport etc.)
  • Washing essentials (for yourself and your clothing)
  • Home comforts such as pictures and keepsakes
  

• Can I get my order delivered to University?

  Generally, we can deliver to any UK address. With some Universities this means a post room, accommodation office or a building concierge.

  If you are having your ox delivered straight to your Uni halls, contact your accommodation first or read the ‘delivery guidelines’ of your accommodation to make sure everything goes smoothly.
  

  You can always place your order now and update us later with any special requirements you have.

• What size bedding do I need?

  UK bedding sizes can be quite different to European, Asian and North American sizes, so don’t be surprised by the different naming conventions. We offer bedding in all sizes, so no matter what, we’ll have you covered. 

  Many UK University beds are either 3/4 or Double size. You can speak to your University accommodation and ask them what size bed your room has.
  
  All our duvets and pillows are hotel quality, and our duvets are 10.5 TOG, ideal for all year around comfort.

• How do I know what kitchen equipment is suitable?

  We’ve designed our Student Starter Kits to be suitable for any kitchen set-up. All dinnerware, utensils and extras like baking trays are made to be used in any kitchen. You will need to check with your University accommodation if your kitchen cooker is gas, electric, glass or induction. If you have an induction cooker, The Luxe Kit includes pots and pans suitable for induction hobs.
