• What if I don’t know my arrival date yet?

  Not a problem! We have a feature at checkout where you can select ‘I don’t know my arrival date yet’ and we will hold off on delivery until you tell us your arrival and delivery date. 

  Also, we will send you reminder emails every week so you don’t forget to update us with your arrival date.

• What should I take to University?

  When moving to the UK from overseas you will need to take your personal essentials, and the rest you can purchase here in the UK. It’s best to check with your student accommodation first, to see what items they provide as this can vary.
  
  However, when it comes to living essentials, here is everything you’ll need to take to University:
  • Bed linen for your pillows, duvet and mattress
  • Your own pillows and duvet (plus some cosy blankets for chilly nights)
  • Towels (hand towels and bath towels)
  • Cooking items such as pots, pans, frying pan and trays for the oven
  • All utensils for cooking and for eating with
  • Plates, bowls, mugs and glasses
  •Coat hangers
  • Recipe book (or have a look at some of our Starving Student recipes)

  Optional: 
  • Mattress topper for extra comfort or Mattress Protector 
  • First Aid Kit 

  Other things you’ll want to take with you:
  • Socket adapters
  • Study essentials such as notepads, pen, paper and sticky notes
  • A laptop you can work on
  • Additional storage boxes
  • Electronics such as TV, speakers, lamp and games console
  • Important documents

• What size bedding do I need?

  UK bedding sizes can be quite different to European, Asian and North American sizes, so don’t be surprised by the different naming conventions. We offer bedding in all sizes, so no matter what, we’ll have you covered. 

  Many UK University beds are either 3/4 or Double size. You can speak to your University accommodation and ask them what size bed your room has.
  
  All our duvets and pillows are hotel quality, and our duvets are 10.5 TOG, ideal for all year around comfort.

• How do I know what kitchen equipment is suitable?

  We’ve designed our Student Starter Kits to be suitable for any kitchen set-up. All dinnerware, utensils and extras like baking trays are made to be used in any kitchen. You will need to check with your University accommodation if your kitchen cooker is gas, electric, glass or induction. If you have an induction cooker, The Luxe Student Kit includes pots and pans suitable for induction hobs.

• Can I get my order delivered without me being there?

  Don't worry if you're not in the UK or at your University accommodation just yet. You can place your order and schedule your delivery for a later date. If you're not sure about the address or your preferred date yet, you can update us once you know this information. You can also have your order delivered to the reception of your accommodation and collect it once you arrive. Just make sure you let your University know.

• How much will shipping & returns cost me?

  The good news is that even when an order is placed from overseas, we don't charge for delivery to a Mainland UK address. Returns are also free so you can easily send your order back if you need to. Want more information? Check out our Delivery & Returns for all the details.
